A HIKE for Mental Health

Hike your own hike

Wherever you are hiking, however long or short, you can help.

By registering your hike with HIKE for Mental Health, you share your story with others, help to raise awareness about an issue that affects 1 in 4 American families, and raise funds to help maintain wilderness trails and alleviate the suffering from mental illness.

Registering your hike is totally free. You still plan and hike your hike your own way.

Note: if you are joining as part of #hikeOctober, please register through the hikeOctober page.

Where the Money Goes

HIKE for Mental Health is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

All contributions are tax deductible, and 100% of the hike donations support our mission.

Eighty cents of every dollar funds mental health programs, including break-through scientific research into PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar spectrum disorders, depression and other major mental ilnesses. Through research we can find better ways to alleviate the suffering that affects 1 in 4 American families.

The remaining twenty cents maintains wilderness trails across the country. By supporting non-profit, volunteer groups that care for our trails, we help preserve wilderness experiences for generations to come. Where the money goes.
