I’m Chipmunk and I'm 15 years old and thru-hiking the AT and raising funds for HIKE for Mental Health as part of my hike.  Imparticular, I'd like to bring awareness to depression in teens and adolescents.  I'd really like to alleviate the stigma of mental health issues so that teens feel more comfortable getting the help they need.

I'm on a quest to become the youngest solo thru hiker on the Appalachian Trail.  You can read more about my adventure on my mom's blog:

The mission of HIKE for Mental Health is:

  • Increase awareness of the challenges and suffering faced by those afflicted by mental illness and their families
  • Increase public appreciation for and responsible use of wilderness trails
  • Raise funds to prevent and alleviate the pain caused by mental illness and to maintain and preserve wilderness trails

HIKE for Mental Health distributes 100% of funds raised from its hikes:

  • Eighty percent to scientific research to prevent, cure, or treat mental illness
  • Twenty percent to preserve wilderness trails

1 in 4 families is affected by mental illness, so I ask you to consider donating to this worthy cause.

You can do this by clicking the "Give Now" button.

Thanks in advance for your generosity.
