We are Lady and the Tramp, a couple who started hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2017. We did 856 miles from April 17 to October 3, 2017. Our two dogs did 756, since they couldn't be with us through Baxter or the Smokies!

We hike what Lady has dubbed a "WoBo" hike, sometimes NoBo, sometimes Sobo, just taking it all in stride as it occurs. We learned, last year, to let go of what you cannot control and just let the world guide you. We learned to say yes to people and opportunities, and to truly trust our innate human instincts.

Saying all that to say, WE ARE BACK PEOPLE!

Madison (Lady) is a restaurant manager with a lot of mental illness in her family and among close friends. Dylan (the Tramp) is a Locksmith and Jack-Of-All-Trades who battles Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD. Together with Bandit, our 7 year old Cur-Lab mix, and Charlie, our 2 year old Beagle, we are Us On The AT.

We hope that you donate to our hike to help the incredible Tom Kennedy and Hike for Mental Health to reach their goals of eliminating mental illness stigmas and discovering treatments and cures for the people who battle all forms of mental illness every day. If you cannot donate, please at least share this page in the hopes that we can reach as many people as possible so that everyone knows that they are not alone in their struggle and that there is hope.

Welcome to the Pup Pack, Theaton.

On Wednesdays we wear Orange.

ABOUT My HIKE for Mental Health

1 in 4 families is affected by mental illness.

I am taking a HIKE for Mental Health so I can raise funds for a great cause, reduce the stigma of mental illness, and help preserve wilderness trails.

HIKE for Mental Health is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded on the vision of a world in which everyone, including those who suffer mental illness, can find the simple joy of living.

Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of those afflicted by mental illness, eliminate the associated stigma, and to foster responsible use of wilderness trails.

As an all-volunteer organization, we distribute 100% of contributions raised by our hikers.

  • 80 cents from every dollar funds scientific research to prevent, cure, and treat mental illness
  • 20 cents maintains and preserves wilderness trails

Your donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS. Thank you for your support.
